How Rule Changes and 60 Game Season Will Impact Fantasy Baseball

The Kiwoom Heroes remain the hottest team in the KBO entering Sunday, having won nine of their last 10 games to jump to second in the KBO standings. The Heroes are now just three games behind the NC Dinos, who are looking to lead the regular season wire-to-wire to earn the automatic berth to the KBO Series finals. The Dinos will take on the third-place Doosan Bears on Sunday while the Heroes will be looking to win a rubber match against the Kia Tigers.

And both the Dinos and Heroes are actually -105 underdogs in the latest KBO odds, with Doosan and Kia both listed as the -125 favorites, respectively. Can either team stay on track with a difficult matchup on Sunday? Before locking in any KBO picks for Sunday’s games, be sure to see the Korean baseball best bets from SportsLine data engineer Mike McClure.

Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn your hobby into a Fortune” as a top Daily Fantasy Baseball Player, McClure has won almost $2 million in daily Fantasy sports. And in 2016, McClure launched the wOBA Projection Model for MLB picks, which has returned $2,300 to $100 bettors.

Now, he’s turned his attention to the KBO and locked in three strong picks for Sunday. Parlaying his three selections would pay out nearly 7-1. You can only see them here.

Top Korean Baseball predictions for June 28

One of McClure’s top KBO picks for Sunday: He’s backing the Samsung Lions (+105) to defeat the Lotte Giants for their third win a row. The Lions will be going to Dae-Woo Kim on Sunday and he’s collected wins in both of his last two starts, giving up just three earned runs over 11 innings in those outings.

Samsung has been one of the most profitable teams in the KBO this season, turning in another win as +130 underdogs on Saturday against Lotte to get to 24-23 this season. Straight $100 money line bets this season on Samsung have now turned a nearly $1,000 profit this season, and McClure sees Lotte as incredibly overvalued as the -135 favorites on Sunday.

“The Lions are the better team in the model as the Giants are one of the most overrated teams in KBO,” McClure told SportsLine. “I make Samsung -110 wiith Dae-woo Kim vs. Se-woong Park.”

How to make KBO picks for June 28
