2020 Fantasy baseball draft prep: Advice, sleepers, breakouts, busts from top-rated MLB experts

Even though the start of the season is on hold, owners everywhere are still creating their 2020 Fantasy baseball strategy and looking for Fantasy baseball advice that can help them build a championship-caliber roster. Top 2020 Fantasy baseball prospects Luis Robert, Gavin Lux and Jesus Luzardo are all expected to make waves in their rookie season, but are there lesser-known rookies who can help lead you to a Fantasy title?

With Fantasy baseball injuries already mounting, how can you ensure that your rosters have the depth to survive the grind of a season? Given all the recent MLB news, the Fantasy baseball experts at SportsLine have released a must-see 2020 Fantasy baseball draft guide that can help guide you through your upcoming drafts.

Prepared by SportsLine Fantasy experts Bill Dubiel and Jeff Zimmerman, this is a must-have for any Fantasy baseball player. Dubiel was FantasyPros’ No. 4 Most Accurate Ranker for the 2017 Fantasy Baseball season, while Zimmerman co-published a book on Fantasy baseball called “The Process” and is a two-time Tout Wars champion and winner of three FSWA awards. They have years of handing out league-winning advice and can give you a major edge in your league.

This guide ranks the top players at each position, but goes well beyond that, also breaking down Fantasy baseball sleepers, breakouts and busts. Players are also divided into Fantasy baseball tiers, showing you exactly when it’s safe to draft players. Their 2020 Fantasy baseball rankings are available in a printable format, so you can bring them right to your draft. Go here to download the guide.

The guide includes SportsLine’s top sleeper, breakout and bust in the 2020 Fantasy baseball first basemen rankings:

Sleeper – Garrett Cooper (Marlins): At 29 years old, Cooper saw his first extended run in the big leagues last season, and he made the most of it with 15 home runs and a .281 average over 421 plate appearances. While a .357 BABIP might signal regression for some, Cooper has always profiled as a hitter who makes strong contact.

Breakout – Rowdy Tellez (Blue Jays): His 21 home runs last season turned heads and that power appears likely to continue earning him at-bats in 2020. And if his minor league numbers are any indication, Tellez should be able to gradually reduce his strikeout rate while increasing his walk rate. That would enhance his entire offensive profile and make him an intriguing value in the late rounds.

Bust – Danny Santana (Rangers): After showing some offensive potential as a rookie for the Twins in 2014, Santana was relegated to utility roles over the next four seasons before last year’s stunning breakout with 28 home runs and an .857 OPS. However, owners should be asking themselves if a nearly 100-point jump in ISO over previous career-bests is sustainable.

SportsLine’s Fantasy baseball draft guide 2020 has also identified a massive bust you need to steer completely clear of. This player is going off the board early in most leagues, but could completely sink your playoff hopes.

So what is the value of every single player for 2020 Fantasy baseball? And which huge bust can sink your season? Visit SportsLine now to see the complete 2020 Fantasy baseball draft guide, all from a team of proven Fantasy analysts who can give you a huge edge in your league.
