UAB @ North Texas
Current Records: UAB 1-1; North Texas 1-1
What to Know
Considering their sizeable disadvantage in the spread, the North Texas Mean Green can expect to have a real challenge on their hands on Saturday. The Mean Green and the UAB Blazers will face off in a Conference USA battle at 7:30 p.m. ET at Apogee Stadium. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
North Texas has to be hurting after a devastating 35-12 defeat at the hands of the SMU Mustangs last week. This contest was a close 7-6 at the break, but unfortunately for North Texas it sure didn’t stay that way.
Meanwhile, the afternoon started off rough for UAB last week, and it ended that way, too. They were completely outmatched by the Georgia Bulldogs on the road and fell 56-7. UAB was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 35 to nothing. QB Tyler Johnston III had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw three interceptions with only 39 yards passing.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Check back to see which squad is able to work their way into the win column.
