College football odds, lines, bets, predictions for Week 6, 2021: Proven model picks Ole Miss, Michigan

The Week 6 college football schedule brings a huge slate of meaningful conference matchups. Perhaps the biggest in terms of conference title and College Football Playoff implications is No. 4 Penn State at No. 3 Iowa. The Hawkeyes are three-point favorites in the latest Week 6 college football odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Other matchups of note include a pair of SEC on CBS showdowns — No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 18 Auburn (+14.5) and No. 1 Alabama vs. Texas A&M (+17.5).

The 2021 Red River Showdown between No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 21 Texas (+3.5) is also on Saturday. Which of these Week 6 college football lines should you be targeting in your bets? Before making any Week 6 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the latest college football predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $3,400 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It also enters Week 6 of the 2021 season on a 12-4 run on all top-rated college football side picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen huge returns.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest Week 6 college football odds from Caesars and locked in picks for every FBS matchup. Head here to see every pick.

Top Week 6 college football predictions

One of the top college football picks the model is recommending for Week 6: No. 17 Ole Miss picks up the win and cover (-6) against No. 13 Arkansas. The Rebels fell well short in their spotlight game against top-ranked Alabama last week, losing 42-21. Arkansas, however, also failed to put up much resistance at Georgia, dropping that game 37-0.

The Rebels have the advantage of playing at home in this one and SportsLine’s model is projecting that quarterback Matt Corral throws for around 250 yards and runs for 40 more. Jerrion Ealy also adds almost 70 yards on the ground in the simulations. Ole Miss covers over 60 percent of the time, while the under (66) hits in well over 70 percent of simulations.

Another one of the college football predictions from the model: No. 9 Michigan (-3) rolls to a cover at Nebraska in more than 60 percent of simulations. The Wolverines are 5-0 with a 4-1 mark against the spread. They put together perhaps their most complete effort of the season in Week 5, blowing out favored Wisconsin 38-17 on the road.

Nebraska also has a 4-1 ATS mark and has shown improvement the past few weeks, especially when it routed Northwestern 56-7 last week. But the Cornhuskers haven’t shown they can beat a top opponent, and the computer projects that Michigan takes this one by nine points as they cover more than 60 percent of the time.

How to make Week 6 college football picks

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other game on the Week 6 college football schedule, and it’s calling for a national title contender to go down hard. You can only get every pick for every game at SportsLine.
