College football rankings, grades: Ohio State earns ‘A+’, Oklahoma gets ‘D’ in Week 8 report card

A look at how the national championship contenders fared in Week 8

Week 8 of the college football season is in the books, and it gave contenders another chance to prove their worth in the chase for the College Football Playoff National Championship. 

No. 3 Oklahoma survived a scare from Kansas of all teams, No. 2 Cincinnati skated by Navy and No. 4 Alabama pulled away from rival Tennessee to light up those cigars after the win at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Other teams didn’t fare so well, though, including Penn State and Clemson — both of which suffered losses on the day. 

Let’s hand out some grades for the top national title contenders according to Caesars Sportsbook.
