Who’s Playing

Los Angeles @ Cincinnati

Current Records: Los Angeles 6-5; Cincinnati 7-4

What to Know

The Los Angeles Chargers will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to Paul Brown Stadium at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday. The Cincinnati Bengals will be strutting in after a victory while the Chargers will be stumbling in from a loss.

The contest between Los Angeles and the Denver Broncos on Sunday was not a total blowout, but with Los Angeles falling 28-13 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. No one had a standout game offensively for Los Angeles, but they got scores from RB Austin Ekeler and TE Jared Cook. QB Justin Herbert ended up with a passer rating of 127.40.

Meanwhile, everything went Cincinnati’s way against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday as they made off with a 41-10 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-3. It was another big night for Cincinnati’s RB Joe Mixon, who rushed for two TDs and 165 yards on 28 carries.

The Chargers are now 6-5 while the Bengals sit at 7-4. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Los Angeles is stumbling into the game with the most rushing yards allowed per game in the league, having given up 145.3 on average. Cincinnati’s defense has more to brag about, as they they rank second in the NFL when it comes to passing touchdowns allowed, with only 14 on the season.
