Injuries and bye weeks are forcing many Fantasy players to dig deeper at running back than expected. In Week 14, Fantasy leaguers will have to replace Fantasy superstar Jonathan Taylor, while Myles Gaskin also has an off week. We have no assurances that Alvin Kamara will be back, and Michael Carter remains out. So players such as Tevin Coleman and Adrian Peterson have become realistic options to hopefully provide decent production. Coleman has 27 carries in his last two games, and Peterson found the end zone in his debut with the Seahawks on Sunday. .
Should Coleman or Peterson be among your primary Week 14 Fantasy football waiver wire picks? And which other players on Fantasy football waivers are worth adding to plug roster holes created by other injuries or bye weeks? Before determining who to target on the Week 14 Fantasy football waiver wire, be sure to see what SportsLine’s resident Hall of Famer, Scott Engel, has to say.

Top Fantasy football waiver wire picks for Week 14
One player Engel is advising Fantasy players to target on the Week 14 waiver wire: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn. The Vikings lost Adam Thielen to an ankle injury in Sunday’s deflating loss to Detroit. But Osborn certainly did his part to effectively replace him. He caught four passes for 47 yards and his third TD of the season. The seven targets were his most in the last six games.
Considering Thielen has a high ankle sprain, Obsorn may be needed to continue to play an important role in the passing game for the Vikings. Osborn first appeared on the Fantasy radar when he opened the season with 12 catches for 167 yards and a TD in the first two games of the season, He appears capable of delivering quality Fantasy production as the projected No. 2 WR for Minnesota while Thielen is out.
Engel is also strongly recommending Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. The rookie caught the game-winning TD pass in Detroit’s win over Minnesota on Sunday. St. Brown became a hero as the Lions earned their first win since Week 13 of the 2020 season. Yet he also came through with an overall performance that now makes him worthy of Fantasy roster consideration.
St. Brown was targeted a career-high 12 times in Week 13 and finished with 10 catches, also a new best for him. He had caught 15 passes in his last four games and had not scored prior to Sunday. So St. Brown has to show more to gain Fantasy trust. But considering the heavy amount of targets, and the fact that he had three seven-plus target games in October, the potential is there for St. Brown to finish strong during the most important stretch of the Fantasy season.
