New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones missed Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins due to a neck injury, and it reportedly won’t be the only contest he misses. On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jones is unlikely to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers after visits with doctors and specialists. It’s unknown how much more time he will miss, but the Giants are reportedly hopeful about his situation.

Additionally, Schefter reports that Jake Fromm could be in line to start in place of Mike Glennon, who suffered a concussion on Sunday. Glennon completed 23 of 44 passes for 187 yards and one interception in the 20-9 loss to Miami, and struggled to get anything going on offense all day long. Fromm, a former fifth-round pick out of Georgia, was claimed off of the Buffalo Bills‘ practice squad just last week. He hasn’t played in a regular-season game in his short career, but the former SEC champion could receive his first start this Sunday.

Jones suffered his neck injury last week against the Philadelphia Eagles. He played through the issue, and was labeled as “week to week” by head coach Joe Judge. When he was asked whether this could be a season-ending injury for Jones, he said there was no final decision made on that front.
