NBA DFS: Deandre Ayton and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Dec. 6, 2021

Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) wasn’t available for Milwaukee in the team’s win over Miami on Saturday, but the Bucks still managed to win convincingly, 124-102. Pat Connaughton picked up the slack and ended up tying his best offensive performance of the season with 23 points. Antetokounmpo is questionable to make his return tonight for the Bucks against Cleveland, could Connaughton offer value in Monday’s NBA DFS player pool again? Utah guard Donovan Mitchell scored 35 points against the Cavaliers on Sunday, but Cleveland had more success defending Bradley Beal and the Miami Heat backcourt in the two games prior.

Connaughton had been playing well even before Antetokounmpo missed time, and has averaged 15 points per contest over his last five games while hitting 55 percent of his shots. Can he step up again for a second consecutive game for Milwaukee and NBA DFS lineups? Before locking in your NBA DFS picks for Monday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Sunday, McClure listed Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram as one of his top NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Ingram scored 40 points with five rebounds and four assists against Houston, which returned 57.75 points on DraftKings and 58 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Monday, December 6 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Monday, December 6

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Monday includes Suns center Deandre Ayton ($7,400 on DraftKings and $7,700 on FanDuel). Against Golden State on Friday, Ayton finished with 23 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Over his last three games, he’s averaged 21.1 points and 9.7 rebounds.

Phoenix hosts San Antonio on Monday night, who allow the seventh-most points in the paint this season. The Suns last played the Spurs on November 22, and Ayton scored 21 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Ayton has led the Suns in offensive usage rate since Devin Booker picked up an injury on November 30.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Hornets guard Ish Smith at $3,400 on DraftKings and $4,500 on FanDuel. Smith was included in McClure’s Sunday picks as well, and finished with 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 130-127 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Smith is expected to continue his run as a starter with Charlotte suddenly depleted in the back court. Multiple guards are out due to health and safety protocols, and Smith played a season-high 32 minutes against Atlanta. Charlotte plays Philadelphia on Monday, which in its last game — also against Atlanta — allowed Trae Young to get off 22 shots, score 25 points and dish out 10 assists. Smith isn’t the offensive powerhouse is that Young is, but should have opportunities to shine again tonight.

How to set NBA DFS lineups for Monday, December 6

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Monday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
