The Vikings are 5-6 but all six of their losses have been by eight points or fewer against teams who are currently .500 or better while the Lions’ last three games have been decided by a field goal or less. Minnesota wants to stay in the NFC playoff picture while Detroit (0-10-1) would love to capture its first win of the season over a division rival.
