The Memphis Grizzlies haven’t won a game against the Los Angeles Lakers since Feb. 29 of last year, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Thursday. The Grizz is getting right back to it as they host Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 9 at FedExForum. The Lakers should still be feeling good after a victory, while Memphis will be looking to regain their footing.
Memphis came up short against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, falling 104-96. A silver lining for Memphis was the play of power forward Jaren Jackson Jr., who had 26 points in addition to seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles strolled past the Boston Celtics with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the contest 117-102. Small forward LeBron James and point guard Russell Westbrook were among the main playmakers for Los Angeles as the former had 30 points and five assists and the latter posted a double-double on 24 points and 11 assists.
The Grizz is expected to lose this next one by 3. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 6-0 against the spread when expected to lose.
