How to watch Grizzlies vs. Lakers basketball game

Who’s Playing

Los Angeles @ Memphis

Current Records: Los Angeles 13-12; Memphis 14-11

What to Know

The Memphis Grizzlies have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers and are hoping to record their first victory since Feb. 29 of last year. Memphis is getting right back to it as they host Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 9 at FedExForum. The Lakers will be strutting in after a win while the Grizz will be stumbling in from a defeat.

The Grizzlies came up short against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, falling 104-96. Memphis’ loss came about despite a quality game from power forward Jaren Jackson Jr., who had 26 points along with seven boards.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles didn’t have too much trouble with the Boston Celtics at home on Tuesday as they won 117-102. Los Angeles’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of small forward LeBron James, who had 30 points and five assists, and point guard Russell Westbrook, who posted a double-double on 24 points and 11 assists.

Memphis is expected to lose this next one by 4. However, those who like betting on the underdog should be happy to hear that they are 6-0 against the spread when expected to lose.

It was close but no cigar for the Grizz as they fell 121-118 to the Lakers in the teams’ previous meeting in October. Maybe the Grizzlies will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the matchup and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
