Who’s Playing

Denver @ Las Vegas

Current Records: Denver 7-7; Las Vegas 7-7

What to Know

The Denver Broncos have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Las Vegas Raiders and are hoping to record their first win since Dec. 29 of 2019. Denver and Las Vegas will face off in an AFC West battle at 4:25 p.m. ET next Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. The Raiders should still be riding high after a victory, while the Broncos will be looking to get back in the win column.

Denver didn’t finish too far behind, but the team still lost 15-10 to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. No one had a standout game offensively for Denver, but they got one touchdown from QB Drew Lock. Lock ended up with a passer rating of 139.10.

Las Vegas decided to play defense against itself on Monday, but the squad still came out ahead despite their 96 penalty yards. They ultimately received the gift of a 16-14 win from a begrudging Cleveland squad. Having forecasted a close victory for them, the oddsmakers were right on the money. Like the Broncos, the Raiders didn’t have any clear offensive standouts, but QB Derek Carr led the way with one touchdown. Carr ended up with a passer rating of 121.40.

Most of the squad’s points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed ten. K Daniel Carlson delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.

Las Vegas’ win brought them up to 7-7 while Denver’s defeat pulled them down to an identical 7-7. Both teams are in the playoff hunt, so this is a critical matchup.

A couple defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Denver comes into the contest boasting the fewest rushing touchdowns allowed in the league at seven. Less enviably, Las Vegas is fourth worst in the NFL in touchdowns allowed, with 40 on the season.
