Watch Baylor vs. NW State: TV channel, live stream info, start time

Who’s Playing

NW State @ No. 1 Baylor

Current Records: NW State 3-10; Baylor 11-0

What to Know

The NW State Demons are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the #1 Baylor Bears at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 28 at Ferrell Center. The Bears will be strutting in after a win while NW State will be stumbling in from a defeat.

The matchup between the Demons and the Texas A&M Aggies last week was not a total blowout, but with NW State falling 80-61 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. One thing holding NW State back was the mediocre play of guard Carvell Teasett, who did not have his best game: he played for 31 minutes with and six turnovers.

Meanwhile, if there were any doubts why Baylor was a heavy favorite Monday, the squad quickly laid those doubts to rest. They steamrolled past the Alcorn State Braves 94-57 at home. Baylor relied on the efforts of forward Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua, who had 16 points in addition to nine rebounds, and guard Adam Flagler, who had 12 points and five assists along with five steals.

The Demons are now 3-10 while the Bears sit at 11-0. A couple stats to keep an eye on: NW State has allowed their opponents an average of 8.9 steals per game, the most in college basketball. To make matters even worse for NW State, Baylor comes into the game boasting the fifth most steals per game in college basketball at 10.8. In other words, NW State will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
