2022 UFC event schedule: Francis Ngannou vs. Ciryl Gane, Israel Adesanya vs. Robert Whittaker 2 on tap

UFC prepares for a big 2022 event schedule following the company’s feverish pace of pay-per-views and Fight Nights in 2021. Championships are at stake, revenge schemes are plotted and opportunities are rife for fresh faces to cement their place as the next big thing.

Friends-turned-foes wage war for the sport’s largest prize when UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and interim champion Ciryl Gane unify the titles at UFC 270 on Jan. 22. Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya aims to lay the soul of “The Reaper” to rest once and for all when he rematches former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 271 on Feb. 12. Additionally, emerging contenders like Islam Makhachev, Beneil Dariush, Giga Chikadze and Sean Strickland take their next steps towards glory as Fight Night headliners.
