How to watch Magic vs. Bucks basketball game

Through 2 Quarters

The Milwaukee Bucks were the heavy favorites here for a reason. They have unwrapped a big 72-45 lead against the Orlando Magic at halftime.

Milwaukee has been riding high on the performance of center Bobby Portis, who has shot 5-for-5 from downtown and has recorded 17 points and three rebounds. Orlando hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 11 points or fewer.

Current Records: Milwaukee 22-13; Orlando 7-27

What to Know

The Orlando Magic are 6-22 against the Milwaukee Bucks since November of 2015, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Tuesday. Orlando will take on Milwaukee in a holiday battle at 7 p.m. ET at Amway Center. The Bucks will be strutting in after a victory while the Magic will be stumbling in from a loss.

Orlando came up short against the Miami Heat on Sunday, falling 93-83. Shooting guard Gary Harris (20 points) was the top scorer for Orlando.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee ultimately received the gift of a 117-113 win from a begrudging Boston squad this past Saturday. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 62-47 deficit. The Bucks’ power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo did his thing and posted a double-double on 36 points and 12 boards in addition to five dimes.

The Magic have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 14.50 point spread they are up against. Their home court has been no bettor’s paradise, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in ten of their 13 home games.

Orlando is now 7-27 while Milwaukee sits at 22-13. Two stats to keep an eye on: Orlando has only been able to knock down 42.40% percent of their shots, which is the third lowest field goal percentage in the league. Milwaukee’s defense has more to brag about, as they they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 43.90%, which places them fourth in the league. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
