NFL DFS, Week 17: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks, stacks, lineup advice

In Week 17 of the NFL season, several teams on the playoff bubble need bounce-back performances from top players who were generally Fantasy letdowns last weekend. The 7-8 New Orleans Saints need more than the 59 total yards they got from star running back Alvin Kamara on Monday when they host Carolina on Sunday. Their NFC South competitor, the 7-8 Atlanta Falcons, have watched Cordarrelle Patterson fall off a cliff the last two weeks, to the tune of just 36 total yards against San Francisco and Detroit.

Can either player be trusted to reclaim their Fantasy value in the Week 17 NFL DFS player pool? Both teams’ playoff chances likely depend on it, but will that translate to tournament-winning performances in your NFL DFS lineups on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings? Before locking in your Week 17 NFL DFS picks, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with almost $2 million in career winnings. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings. He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments last season.

He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Week 17 slate of games and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NFL DFS picks for Week 17

One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Week 17 is Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill ($8,300 on DraftKings, $8,200 on FanDuel). Hill was close to missing Week 16 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he might as well have. He only finished with two catches for 19 yards, albeit in a dominating 36-10 Kansas City victory on Sunday.

In Week 15, Hill exploded for 12 catches on 13 targets for 148 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. In his last three games this season following weeks where he finished with fewer than 50 receiving yards, Hill finished with no fewer than 76 yards in addition to three total touchdowns in those starts. This week the Chiefs take on Cincinnati, who let Baltimore’s third-string QB, Josh Johnson, throw for 304 yards against them on Sunday.

Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy includes rostering Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown ($6,100 on DraftKings and $8,500 on FanDuel). As Tampa Bay’s primary receiving option last weekend against Carolina, Brown caught 10 of his 15 targets for 101 yards. Brown has gone over 100 yards receiving in three of the six games he’s played this season, and finished with 93 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against Philadelphia.

Brown has a great chance to replicate last week’s performance on Sunday against the New York Jets, after the chances that Mike Evans (hamstring) returning to the field were dimmed following his placement on Tampa Bay’s COVID reserve list. Last week against the Jets, Jacksonville receiver Marvin Jones Jr. hauled in eight of his 13 targets for 74 yards, so Brown should have no trouble cutting up New York’s defense this week.

How to set NFL DFS lineups for Week 17

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Sunday. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here
