What to Know

The Indiana Pacers will take on the Charlotte Hornets at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after having had a few days off. Charlotte will be strutting in after a win while the Pacers will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Meanwhile, Charlotte took their contest against the Houston Rockets on Monday by a conclusive 123-99 score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Charlotte had established a 96-70 advantage. Charlotte’s shooting guard Terry Rozier was one of the most active players for the team, shooting 7-for-12 from downtown and finishing with 27 points and five dimes.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Pacers are expected to win a tight contest. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Indiana, who are 17-17 against the spread.

Indiana’s defeat took them down to 14-20 while Charlotte’s victory pulled them up to 18-17. Allowing an average of 116.31 points per game, the Hornets haven’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming matchup.
