How to watch Raptors vs. Knicks basketball game

Who’s Playing

New York @ Toronto

Current Records: New York 17-19; Toronto 15-17

What to Know

The New York Knicks are 4-19 against the Toronto Raptors since November of 2015, but they’ll have a chance to close the gap a little bit Sunday. New York is staying on the road to face off against Toronto at 3:30 p.m. ET Jan. 2 at Scotiabank Arena. Both teams looked pretty sloppy on the offensive side of the ball the last time they faced off, scoring just 177 points combined.

The Knicks’ 2021 ended with a 95-80 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder this past Friday. Shooting guard Immanuel Quickley had a pretty forgettable game, finishing with 11 points on 4-for-12 shooting in his 25 minutes on the court.

Meanwhile, the Raptors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 116-108 this past Friday. Toronto’s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but power forward Pascal Siakam led the charge as he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds in addition to seven assists.

New York is expected to lose this next one by 7.5. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn’t have high expectations for them since the squad is 3-6 ATS when expected to lose.

Toronto’s win lifted them to 15-17 while New York’s defeat dropped them down to 17-19. We’ll see if Toronto can repeat their recent success or if the Knicks bounce back and reverse their fortune.
