NFL DFS, Steelers vs. Browns: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks for Monday Night Football

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield struggled mightily in his last start, throwing a career-high four interceptions versus the Packers last week. Now Mayfield has to go on the road for Monday Night Football to face a Steelers team that he couldn’t find the endzone against when they last met in Week 8. Everything seems to be going against the Browns QB when it comes to making him one of your top NFL DFS picks, but you also shouldn’t forget what happened the last time Mayfield was in Pittsburgh.

Mayfield’s postseason debut in Pittsburgh consisted of 263 yards, three touchdowns and zero turnovers in last year’s Wild Card game. Can he recapture that magic on Monday Night Football and outduel Ben Roethlisberger again? Or should you look elsewhere for value when crafting your NFL DFS strategy? Before setting your NFL DFS lineups for Steelers vs. Browns, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a legendary professional DFS player with almost $2 million in career winnings. His methodology has led to enormous cashes on FanDuel and DraftKings. He took down two high-stakes tournaments on FanDuel in 2020 and recorded a pair top-10 finishes in tournaments with over 130,000 entrants on DraftKings. His lineups also finished inside the top 1 percent in more than a dozen other tournaments last season.

He uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every snap of NFL action, taking factors such as matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account. This allows him to find the best DFS values that he shares only with members at SportsLine.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to Browns vs. Steelers and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NFL DFS picks for Browns vs. Steelers

One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Monday Night Football is Browns running back Nick Chubb. The three-time Pro Bowler is coming off his most productive game of the season as he rushed for 126 yards and a score while also catching three passes for 58 yards. The 184 yards from scrimmage was a season-high and the 58 yards through the air tied a career-high.

Chubb has been the only consistent playmaker on the Browns offense, but even with the defense knowing he’s getting the ball, they still can’t stop him. He’s had at least 69 scrimmage yards in all but two games this year, and both of those came against Baltimore’s No. 1 run defense. Pittsburgh is at the opposite end of the spectrum as it ranks dead last against the run and has allowed 190 rushing yards per game over its last three. Chubb should be fed early and often on Monday Night Football, making him a no-brainer for NFL DFS lineups.

McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Roethlisberger, who passed for 266 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions when he last saw Cleveland in Week 8. Big Ben has owned the Browns throughout his career, sporting a staggering 25-2-1 regular season record.

Not factored into that record is the Steelers’ Wild Card loss to Cleveland last season, which is the last time Roethlisberger faced the Browns at home. He threw four picks, but Fantasy owners would gladly take that in addition to the 501 passing yards and four TDs he tossed as well. Also, with Monday’s contest being Pittsburgh’s last home game — and with rumors circulating that this will be Roethlisberger’s final season in Pittsburgh — the future Hall of Famer will want to leave a good impression on the home crowd by providing a performance worth remembering.
