What you need to know about the Mavericks

Dallas is coming off a 95-86 win over Oklahoma City on Sunday. Shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (15 points), power forward Marquese Chriss (15 points) and point guard Luka Doncic (14 points) were the top scorers for Dallas. Doncic missed 10 games before playing against the Thunder, so it was his first game in 23 days.

Head coach Jason Kidd limited Doncic to 31 minutes in his return. The Mavericks also got Hardaway Jr. and Maxi Kleber back in the lineup after they both missed six games in health and safety protocol. Dallas has covered the spread in seven of its last 10 games against a Western Conference opponent.

What you need to know about the Nuggets

Denver strolled past the Houston Rockets with points to spare this past Saturday, taking the game 124-111. Point guard Facundo Campazzo looked sharp, posting a double-double with 22 points and 12 assists in addition to five steals. The Nuggets were without head coach Michael Malone and four players due to health and safety protocols.

Denver will still be without those four players on Monday and included in that group are Monte Morris and Jeff Green. Denver signed Rayjon Tucker, Davon Reed and Carlik Jones to short contracts in order to fill out the roster. The Nuggets, who have won five of their last six road games, still have Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon on the court.
