Through 3 Quarters

The point spread is against the Milwaukee Bucks, but thus far the points are on their side. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Brooklyn Nets 98-80 three quarters in.

Milwaukee has been relying on center Bobby Portis, who has dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, and power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has 23 points and five assists in addition to five boards. A double-double would be Antetokounmpo’s fourth in a row. One thing to keep an eye out for is Semi Ojeleye’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Brooklyn has been led by power forward Kevin Durant, who so far has 27 points and six assists along with eight rebounds. KD has also picked up four fouls, though.

What to Know

The Brooklyn Nets have been on the wrong side of a one-way rivalry with the Milwaukee Bucks and are hoping to record their first win since June 15 of last year. Brooklyn will be playing at home against Milwaukee at 7:30 p.m. ET Friday. The Nets are out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.

Brooklyn netted a 129-121 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 73-60 deficit. Power forward Kevin Durant continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, picking up 39 points and seven assists along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 117-111 to the Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee’s loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of small forward Khris Middleton, who had 25 points in addition to six boards, and center DeMarcus Cousins, who posted a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

The Nets are the favorite in this one, with an expected 4.5-point margin of victory. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the squad has let down bettors in their past four games.

Brooklyn suffered a grim 127-104 defeat to the Bucks in the teams’ previous meeting last October. Maybe Brooklyn will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
