How to watch Thunder vs. Nuggets basketball game

Through 3 Quarters

The Denver Nuggets are just one quarter away from delivering their fans the win they’ve been expecting. a victory is still up for grabs for either team, but they are up 82-78 over the Oklahoma City Thunder

Denver has been relying on center Nikola Jokic, who has 18 points and five assists in addition to nine rebounds, and point guard Austin Rivers, who has shot 5-for-6 from downtown and has recorded 17 points and four boards. A double-double would be Jokic’s eighth in a row.

Oklahoma City hasn’t had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 14 points or fewer.

The Thunder haven’t lost 88% of the games in which they were down heading into the final period this season, so a win here would be refreshing.

Who’s Playing

Denver @ Oklahoma City

Current Records: Denver 19-18; Oklahoma City 13-25

What to Know

The Denver Nuggets have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. Denver and the Oklahoma City Thunder will face off in a Northwest Division battle at 7 p.m. ET Sunday at Paycom Center. The Nuggets won’t have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy a 7-point advantage in the spread.

Denver beat the Sacramento Kings 121-111 this past Friday. Denver’s center Nikola Jokic did his thing and dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten boards along with seven dimes. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Jokic has had at least ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, 2022 “welcomed” Oklahoma City with a 135-105 beatdown courtesy of the Minnesota Timberwolves this past Friday. OKC was down 103-80 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. The top scorer for Oklahoma City was small forward Luguentz Dort (18 points).

Denver’s win lifted them to 19-18 while Oklahoma City’s loss dropped them down to 13-25. We’ll see if the Nuggets can repeat their recent success or if the Thunder bounce back and reverse their fortune.
