Who’s Playing

Miami (Fla.) @ Florida State

Current Records: Miami (Fla.) 13-3; Florida State 8-5

What to Know

The Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes haven’t won a game against the Florida State Seminoles since Jan. 7 of 2018, but they’ll be looking to end the drought on Tuesday. Miami (Fla.) and FSU will face off in an ACC battle at 8 p.m. ET at Donald L. Tucker Center. The Hurricanes aren’t expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn’t stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

Miami (Fla.) sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 76-74 win over the Duke Blue Devils this past Saturday. Miami (Fla.)’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of guard Charlie Moore, who had 18 points along with seven steals, and guard Jordan Miller, who had 17 points in addition to five boards.

Meanwhile, FSU picked up a 79-70 victory over the Louisville Cardinals this past Saturday. Guard Caleb Mills was the offensive standout of the contest for the Seminoles, picking up 27 points.

The Hurricanes are now 13-3 while FSU sits at 8-5. A pair of stats to keep an eye on: Miami (Fla.) ranks 12th in college basketball when it comes to steals given up per game, with only 4.8 on average. But FSU enters the matchup with ten steals per game on average, good for 14th best in college basketball. Ball control might end up being a major factor in this one.
