Watch Connecticut vs. St. John’s: TV channel, live stream info, start time

Who’s Playing

St. John’s @ Connecticut

Current Records: St. John’s 9-4; Connecticut 10-4

What to Know

A Big East battle is on tap between the St. John’s Red Storm and the Connecticut Huskies at 8:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

St. John’s came up short against the Providence Friars on Saturday, falling 83-73. Guard Julian Champagnie had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 38 minutes with 5-for-19 shooting.

Meanwhile, UConn was close but no cigar on Saturday as they fell 90-87 to the Seton Hall Pirates. Connecticut’s loss came about despite a quality game from forward Adama Sanogo, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds in addition to three blocks.

The Red Storm are the clear underdogs, so they’re hoping it’s the size of the fight that determines this one. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past three games, so buyers beware.

The losses put St. John’s at 9-4 and UConn at 10-4. Neither St. John’s (3-0 after losses) nor the Huskies (also 3-0) has made a habit of hanging their heads after losses this year, so another slip-up will be unusual territory for either squad.
