What to Know
The Louisville Cardinals are 5-1 against the NC State Wolfpack since January of 2016, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. U of L and NC State will face off in an ACC battle at 9 p.m. ET at KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals are out to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
U of L came up short against the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday, falling 79-70. Guard El Ellis (14 points), forward Samuell Williamson (13 points), and guard Mason Faulkner (12 points) were the top scorers for U of L.
Meanwhile, NC State was within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Saturday as they fell 70-65 to the Clemson Tigers. A silver lining for the Wolfpack was the play of guard Dereon Seabron, who had 27 points along with seven boards.
The Cardinals are the favorite in this one, with an expected 6-point margin of victory. Their home court has been no bettor’s paradise, though, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in five of their eight home games.
Both teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses this week. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
