The Kent State Golden Flashes lost both of their matches to the Akron Zips last season on scores of 62-66 and 61-72, so they’re hoping to turn the tables this season. The Golden Flashes and Akron will face off in a Mid-American battle at 8 p.m. ET Friday at Memorial A & C Center. Akron will be strutting in after a win while Kent State will be stumbling in from a defeat.
It was close but no cigar for Kent State as they fell 65-63 to the Northern Illinois Huskies on Tuesday.
