The Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers will be returning home after a five-game road trip. Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Illinois-Chicago Flames will face off in a Horizon League battle at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Illinois-Chicago will be strutting in after a win while the Panthers will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee was expected to have a tough go of it on Sunday, and, well, they did. They have to be aching after a bruising 86-65 loss to the Oakland Golden Grizzlies.
Meanwhile, Illinois-Chicago sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 victory over the IUPUI Jaguars on Monday.
Barring any buzzer beaters, Wisconsin-Milwaukee is expected to win a tight contest. Their home court has been no bettor’s paradise, though, as they’ve failed to beat the spread in four of their six home games.
The Panthers had enough points to win and then some against the Flames when the teams previously met two seasons ago, taking their game 74-57. Will Wisconsin-Milwaukee repeat their success, or does Illinois-Chicago have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
