Running back Josh Jacobs was a big reason for the Las Vegas’ success on offense this season. He led the team with 1,220 yards from scrimmage, including 872 yards rushing and nine rushing TDs. Jacobs was just one of two players with 1,200 yards from scrimmage and at least seven rushing touchdowns in each of the past three seasons. Jacobs also has 125 or more rushing yards in two of his past three games. Las Vegas takes on the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC Wild Card matchup at 4:35 p.m. ET on Saturday at Cincinnati.
Caesars Sportsbook has set the total for Jacobs’ rushing yards at 60.5 (-120). That is just one of a number of different NFL player prop pick opportunities for the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs. Before locking in any NFL playoff props for Saturday, you need to check out the top NFL picks and predictions from NFL props expert Mike Barner.
Barner is one of the most respected voices in the industry, whose work has appeared in Sports Illustrated and on Yahoo, RotoWire and KFFL. He’s also been featured on ESPN Radio. He digs deep into the data, examining team trends and projecting game outcomes. If there’s anybody who can spot an edge in a matchup or identify a player in position to break out, it’s him.
Now, after sifting through the hundreds of available NFL prop bets for Saturday’s Wild Card Weekend action, Barner has found four picks he loves. He’s only sharing his NFL prop picks at SportsLine.
Top NFL prop picks for Wild Card Saturday
One prop bet that Barner loves for NFL Wild Card Weekend: He’s going over 1.5 passing touchdowns for Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (-150). Burrow has had a monster season and will be set to make his postseason debut. Barner is confident Burrow will continue his hot hand and loses his chances to toss multiple touchdowns in his game against the Raiders. Although he was limited to just one passing TD in their Nov. 21 meeting, Barner is confident this time will be different and he will easily surpass that mark.
“He rolls into the playoffs on fire, throwing for 971 yards and eight touchdowns over his last two games,” Barner told SportsLine. “He’s been a touchdown machine this season, throwing for at least two of them in 11 of the 16 games that he played.
“When these two teams played each other in Week 11, Burrow only recorded one touchdown pass. However, the Bengals won that game by 19 points, so Burrow only had to attempt 29 passes. With this being a playoff matchup, there’s good chance that things remain more competitive. That could lead to added touchdowns for Burrow given that the Raiders were tied for the ninth-most passing touchdowns allowed in the league during the regular season.”
