In the loss to the Timberwolves, Poole had 20 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Forward Andrew Wiggins has been solid for Golden State this year as well. Wiggins is logging 18.5 points, four rebounds and is shooting a career-high 42 percent from beyond the arc. The 2014 first overall pick has scored at least 20 points in five of his last 10 games. Wiggins dropped 21 points, four rebounds and six assists in the Jan. 14 win over the Chicago Bulls

Why the Pistons can cover

Detroit guard Cade Cunningham is averaging 15.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. The 2021 No. 1 overall pick has dropped at least 20 points in nine games thus far. Cunningham’s highest-scoring outing came in a win over the Utah Jazz. The Oklahoma State product had 29 points, eight rebounds and two steals. He also shot 5-for-8 from three.

Forward Saddiq Bey is third on the team in scoring (15) along with 6.5 rebounds per game. Bey has been knocking down 37 percent of his 3-pointers in the month of January. The Villanova product had a stellar game in the Jan. 3 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Bey had 34 points, eight rebounds and four assists. The 2020 first-round pick was on fire from deep, shooting 8-for-13 from three.
