What to Know
The Sacramento Kings haven’t won a contest against the Philadelphia 76ers since Feb. 2 of 2019, but they’ll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Kings’ road trip will continue as they head to Wells Fargo Center at 7:30 p.m. ET to face off against Philadelphia. The Sixers will be strutting in after a win while Sacramento will be stumbling in from a loss.
On Wednesday, Sacramento lost to the Atlanta Hawks on the road by a decisive 121-104 margin. Sacramento was down 94-74 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Power forward Harrison Barnes put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 28 points along with nine boards. Barnes’ performance made up for a slower matchup against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia had enough points to win and then some against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, taking their game 105-87. The Sixers relied on the efforts of power forward Tobias Harris, who had 23 points in addition to five rebounds, and center Joel Embiid, who had 26 points and seven assists in addition to nine rebounds.
The Kings have to know they’ll be fighting an uphill battle given the 10.50 point spread they are up against. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past two games, so buyers beware.
Sacramento’s defeat took them down to 18-32 while Philadelphia’s victory pulled them up to 29-19. We’ll see if Sacramento can steal the 76ers’ luck or if the Sixers records another win instead.
