NBA DFS: Devin Booker and top FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy basketball picks for Feb. 10, 2022

Since missing a game on January 26 to rest a sore knee, Toronto point guard Fred VanVleet has come back strong. Over his last seven starts, he has averaged 20.6 points, eight assists and 1.3 steals per game, and is coming off of a 21-point, six-assist performance on Wednesday against Oklahoma City. Toronto is one of the two NBA teams that are playing the second of a back-to-back on Thursday night, so can VanVleet be trusted to keep up his strong play for NBA DFS lineups on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel?

In the second of consecutive games this season, VanVleet has made nine starts and averaged 21.7 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds, which indicates the quick turnaround hasn’t affected him. Toronto has a friendly matchup against Houston on Thursday, so are there any other Raptors players in the NBA DFS player pool worth keeping an eye on? Before making any NBA DFS picks for Thursday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Wednesday, McClure included Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball as one of his top NBA DFS picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Ball scored 33 points with nine rebounds, five assists and four steals to return 60.25 points on DraftKings and 59.3 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Thursday, February 10, NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Thursday, February 10

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Thursday is Suns star Devin Booker, who is listed at $8,900 on DraftKings and $8,800 on FanDuel. Booker has gone over 32 points in four of his last five starts, and has hit 50.9 percent of his shots during that span. Against Chicago on Monday, he scored 38 points and added five assists with a steal.

Phoenix hosts Milwaukee on Thursday night, and although the Bucks have won their last four games, their last two opponents scored 229 total points. Over their last three games, the Bucks have allowed others to hit 58 percent of their two-point attempts, which is the sixth-highest rate in the NBA over that sample. Booker hasn’t been particularly sharp from downtown (32.5 percent over last five starts), but has still produced big offensive totals, so he should come up big again on Thursday.

Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes Wizards guard Spencer Dinwiddie ($6,000 on DraftKings and $5,700 on FanDuel). Dinwiddie’s scoring hasn’t been exactly been encouraging over his last seven starts — he has reached double-figures just twice in that span — but there is reason for optimism on Thursday. The Wizards host a Nets team that allows the fourth-most Fantasy points to opposing point guards on both DraftKings and on FanDuel.

Against the Heat on Monday, Dinwiddie scored just four points, but he rounded out his stat line with five rebounds, six assists and two steals. With Bradley Beal (wrist) out for the season and Daniel Gafford (health and safety protocols) still inactive, there are holes in the offense that need to be filled, and the Wizards have the best matchup they’ve had in weeks tonight against a down Nets team.
