Stanford is the reigning national champion in women’s college basketball, and the squad showed it hasn’t lost a step in this year’s NCAA Tournament by creating a highlight for the ages on Friday. Stanford forward Fran Belibi soared for a dunk during her team’s first-round matchup against Montana State.

Midway through the second quarter, Belibi blocked a Montana State 3-point shot, collected the rebound and sprinted to the other end of the floor. A Montana State defender trailed her, but Belibi rose up for a vicious one-handed slam dunk anyway. The Stanford bench erupted after Belibi’s insane coast-to-coast play.

Belibi’s dunk highlighted an extraordinary outing from the Cardinal overall. Stanford held Montana State scoreless in the first quarter and eventually won the game 78-37. Belibi was dominant throughout, securing a team-high 13 rebounds to ago along with 12 points and two blocks.

With the blowout win in the rear view mirror, Stanford will play No. 8 seed Kansas on Sunday. The Jayhawks were similarly impressive in their first-round matchup, as they topped No. 9 Georgia Tech behind a 19-point, five-rebound performance from junior guard Holly Kersgieter
