Top Elite Eight selections, NCAA Tournament picks for Sunday
One of the picks Roberts is strongly backing for Sunday’s Elite Eight parlay is under the total (147.5) on Miami vs. Kansas. Miami’s defense has been relentless, and all three of its tournament games have gone under, while two of KU’s three have. The Jayhawks have gone under the total in six of their past nine games, and they combined with Providence for just 127 on Friday night. They shot 39.3 percent and made just two of 14 3-point tries against the Friars.
The under is 8-5 in Miami’s 13 games as an underdog this season. The Hurricanes held second-seeded Auburn to just 30 percent shooting from the field in the second round, and Iowa State hit 37 percent on Friday. Miami is 216th in the nation in pace, averaging an estimated 67.7 possessions per 40 minutes, while Kansas is 103rd at 69.7. The Hurricanes will harass the Jayhawks and try to slow it down, making the under the better play on the total.
