What you need to know about the Pistons

Detroit is coming off a 131-113 loss to Dallas on Wednesday, but it has still won three of its last four games. The Pistons allowed the Mavericks to shoot 56.3 percent from the floor, including 45.5 percent from 3-point range. Rookie guard Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 25 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, adding to what has been an impressive opening campaign for the Oklahoma State product.

Cunningham has scored at least 20 points in 12 of his last 16 games, averaging 21.7 points and 6.7 assists during that stretch. Detroit continues to play without leading scorer Jerami Grant due to a season-ending calf injury. The Pistons, who have been eliminated from the playoff race for several weeks, will wrap up their regular season against Philadelphia on Sunday night.

What you need to know about the Bucks

Milwaukee has bounced back from a two-game losing streak with consecutive wins over Chicago and Boston earlier this week. The Bucks were dominant in their road win over the Bulls before adding a 127-121 win against the Celtics on Thursday. They are now leading Boston by a half-game in the race for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo leads Milwaukee with 29.9 points and 11.6 rebounds per game, while Khris Middleton is adding 20.2 points. Shooting guard Grayson Allen, who averages 11.1 points, is going to be sidelined on Friday night with a hip injury. The Bucks have won 16 of the last 17 meetings between these teams, covering the spread in 12 of the last 15 outings.
