The Houston Astros unveiled on Sunday the new uniforms they’ll debut during their April 20 game against the Los Angeles Angels as part of Nike’s City Connect program. Given Houston’s connection to NASA, the Astros’ City Connect jerseys have a “Space City” theme.

The Astros’ City Connect uniforms include navy hats, jerseys (with “Space City” across the chest), and pants. They’ll also boast rainbow socks, a nod to the Astros’ uniforms of the past. Here’s a look at what we’re dealing with here:

“Our City Connect uniform links the past and the present, making the old new, with a nod to our city’s great history of space travel. The Astros retro elements with a forward-thinking approach matches the constant pursuit of new opportunities and extraordinary wins that represent the great city of Houston,” senior vice president of communications and marketing Anita Sehgal said as part of the team’s statement. “This uniform is a thank you to our fans for their relentless support to the Astros and to growing our great community — we don’t see this as just a uniform, but as a movement for our city and we are excited to share it today.”

The Astros, who will wear the City Connect jerseys during Monday home games thereafter, will become the second Major League Baseball team to introduce City Connect jerseys this season. The Washington Nationals wore their cherry blossom-themed uniforms on Saturday against the New York Mets.
