2022 MLB odds, picks, bets for Monday, May 30 from proven model: This four-way parlay pays over 6-1

Drew Rasmussen (5-1, 2.68 ERA) will hunt for his sixth win of the season when the Tampa Bay Rays open a series in Arlington against the Texas Rangers on Monday night. Glenn Otto (2-2. 4.91) will go for Texas in the Memorial Day evening contest. The Rays just split a four-game series with the AL East-leading New York Yankees, while the Rangers took three of four from the Oakland A’s. The latest MLB odds from Caesars Sportsbook lists the Rays at -140 (risk $140 to win $100) on the money line.

The game is scheduled to begin at 8:05 ET, one of 13 on the MLB Memorial Day schedule. Others include the Orioles and Red Sox (-175) wrapping a rare regular-season five-game series, the Braves (-120) heading to the desert to play the Diamondbacks, and a David-and-Goliath matchup between the Pirates and Dodgers (-335). Before locking in any MLB picks or parlays, be sure to check out the MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven computer model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times and it is off to a strong start to the 2022 season. It’s on a 48-31 roll on top-rated MLB money-line picks through eight weeks, returning over $1,100 for $100 players. Anyone following it has seen huge returns.

Now, the model has locked in four confident MLB best bets for Monday. They all involve games at 7:10 p.m. ET or later, so there’s still time to get these MLB picks in. If you successfully parlay the picks, you’d be looking at a payout of more than 6-1. You can see the model’s MLB picks only at SportsLine

The model, which simulated every game on Monday’s schedule more than 10,000 times, is taking the Rays (-135) to beat the Rangers in their series-opener at 8:05 p.m. ET (see tickets at StubHub). The Rays have been a fine-tuned machine of baseball excellence for years now, and Rasmussen has proven to be a formidable pitcher this season. The Rangers, meanwhile, are in a different stage of their contention window and have yet to get things fully on track. Otto has been unreliable, and the Tampa Bay offense will pounce on him.

Brandon Lowe (back) may be on the shelf for the Rays, but they can still score runs. Manuel Margot is having a breakout season, putting up a downright silly .339/.395./.486 line thus far. Ji-Man Choi and Yandy Diaz have also provided quality offense. And while Wander Franco hasn’t produced runs at the same torrid pace he did last year, the young shortstop is still one of the most talented players in the world and is a threat to explode at any given moment. The Rays are also a quality defensive team, anchored up the middle by stalwarts Mike Zunino and Kevin Kiermaier. Tampa Bay may not in first place, but it has the talent to not only win the AL East, but the American League pennant.

The Rangers, meanwhile, seem out of sorts. For all of the team’s spending over the winter, the roster is still half-baked and in need of additions. Given the pitching matchup, this is Tampa’s game to lose and SportsLine’s model projects that the Rays win over 60 percent of the time.
