NASCAR DFS, 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 at Pocono: FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy picks, lineup advice

Christopher Bell came away with his first victory of 2022 last weekend at New Hampshire. Bell heads into Sunday’s 2022 NASCAR at Pocono race eighth in the Cup Series point standings, but he could make headway with a second consecutive win in the 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400. History isn’t on his side since two of his four Cup Series appearances at Pocono have ended with a finish outside the top 30, but could he flip the script this year and anchor your NASCAR DFS lineups? Who should you target with your NASCAR DFS strategy when the race starts at 3 p.m. ET?

Bell may be too big of a gamble in the NASCAR DFS driver pool compared to others with better recent results at Pocono Raceway like Kyle Busch and Alex Bowman, who have both won there in the last three seasons. Before you make your NASCAR DFS picks for the 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to check out the optimal NASCAR at Pocono DFS strategy and lineup advice from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

McClure has won almost $2 million in his career as a daily Fantasy pro, and his NASCAR DFS driver pool, projections and advice can help you score a big win.

Last week, two of McClure’s featured drivers finished in the top ten, in Martin Truex Jr. (fourth place) and Denny Hamlin, who finished sixth after starting 14th in the grid. Before that, McClure highlighted Bubba Wallace in the Quaker State 400, who finished 14th after starting 32nd. His model, which simulates every race 10,000 times, called seven outright winners last season. Anybody who has followed his picks has seen huge returns.

Anybody who has followed his picks has seen huge returns. Now, he’s turned his attention to Sunday’s 2022 NASCAR at Pocono race and locked in his NASCAR DFS picks. He’s only sharing his picks and NASCAR DFS driver pool and top picks here.

Top 2022 M&M’s Fan Appreciation 400 NASCAR DFS picks

For NASCAR at Pocono, we can tell you McClure is high on Tyler Reddick ($8,300 on DraftKings and $8,500 on FanDuel). Reddick is only two races removed from his first win of the year, but he’ll try for a bounce-back after two finishes outside the top 20 at Atlanta and New Hampshire since then. Reddick’s last two appearances at Pocono have been dramatically better than his first two, and he finished 11th and ninth at the two events held there last year.

Reddick is 16th in the Cup Series point standings, but has led for the eighth-most total laps this season with 278. When Reddick won back-to-back Xfinity Series championships in 2018 and 2019, he finished ninth and second at Pocono, respectively. His overall success at the track should prompt him to push hard for another win on Sunday, and he checks in just behind Hamlin in total fastest laps among all drivers with 183.

Another part of McClure’s NASCAR DFS strategy includes rostering William Byron ($9,200 on DraftKings and $10,000 on FanDuel). Byron finished in the top 10 of the first two race stages last weekend at New Hampshire, but finished just outside the top 10. He’s one of just five drivers this season who have won multiple races, but he could be the second to win three this year after he has finished in the top 10 in two of his last three races at Pocono.

This season, Byron has spent three-quarters of his total driven laps inside the top 15 of the pack, and that’s helped him stay in the top 10 of the Cup Series point standings. Byron has also had his share of fastest laps and is sixth among all drivers with 214. NASCAR has only held events at two 2.5-mile track formats while Byron has been driving on the Cup Series, Pocono and Indianapolis, but in those races, he holds the sixth-highest driver rating since 2019 at 96. Get more NASCAR DFS advice here.

How to set 2022 NASCAR at Pocono DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting an undervalued driver set to return plenty of value. He’s in a prime position to make a run at the checkered flag and comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can see who it is, and every other pick, right here.
