2022 MLB odds, picks, bets for Monday, Aug. 8 from proven model: This three-way parlay pays over 19-1

The New York Yankees will try to end their longest losing streak of the season when they take on the Seattle Mariners on Monday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. The Yankees (70-39) own the best record in the American League but have lost five straight games and six of seven. They’re coming off a three-game series in which they were swept by the Cardinals. Meanwhile the Mariners (59-51) are in the thick of the wild card chase. Caesars Sportsbook lists both New York and Seattle as -110 in the latest MLB odds. First pitch is set for 10:10 p.m. ET.

The game is one of seven on the MLB schedule for Monday. Elsewhere in the majors, the Orioles host the Blue Jays (-140) and the Padres (-190) look to end their four-game skid, against the Giants. Before making any MLB picks or parlays, be sure to check out the MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven computer model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it is 299-254 on top-rated MLB money-line picks since the start of the 2021 season, returning more than $800 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win the World Series. Anybody who has followed the model has seen profitable returns.

Now, the model has locked in three confident MLB best bets for Monday. They all involve games at 8:05 p.m. ET or later, so there’s still time to get these MLB picks in. If you successfully parlay the picks, you’d be looking at a payout of over 19-1. You can see the model’s MLB picks only at SportsLine

After simulating every game on Monday 10,000 times, the model is high on the Giants (+158) to beat the Padres. San Francisco (53-55) is coming off a two-game sweep of the rival A’s in Oakland. Meanwhile San Diego has lost four in a row, including the last three at the Dodgers in a much-hyped series.

On Monday the Giants start Alex Wood, who was brilliant the last time he faced the Padres. On July 10, he pitched seven shutout innings and gave up just three hits, while striking out eight and walking only one in a 12-0 San Francisco victory. For his career, Wood is 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA against San Diego. See who else to back right here.
