Why Alabama can cover

Young is a big threat through the air, but Alabama is strong on the ground too. The Crimson Tide offense averages 161.7 yards of rushing per game. This rushing attack is led by redshirt senior Brian Robinson Jr. He leads Alabama with 97 carries for 526 yards and six scores. Robinson Jr. is also averaging a team-high 105.2 rushing yards per game. The Alabama native has been playing particularly well the past two weeks.

Against Ole Miss, he had a season-high 36 carries for 171 yards and four touchdowns. The following week against Texas A&M, Robinson Jr. had 24 carries for 147 yards. He also snagged four passes for 60 yards. Robinson Jr. will look to continue his hot streak and gash the Bulldog defense.

Why Mississippi State can cover

Mississippi State has one of the best passing attacks in the nation. Rogers is seventh in the country with 1,862 passing yards on the season. He has completed 75 percent of his throws with 14 passing touchdowns. Rogers has topped 400 passing yards in two games so far.

Against Texas A&M in Week 5, Rogers put on a show. He went 46-of-59 for 408 yards with three passing touchdowns. The Bulldogs went into College Station and defeated Texas A&M 26-22. In the game prior against LSU, Rogers had another stellar day, going 47-of-62 for 371 yards and three touchdowns. Despite this stellar performance, the Bulldogs fell to the Tigers 28-25. Rogers and the Mississippi State passing attack can give the Crimson Tide defense trouble on Saturday night.
