Justin Fields will be make his second consecutive start as the Bears‘ starting quarterback for Sunday’s home game against the Lions. Fields went 6 of 20 for 68 yards in his first start, a 26-6 loss to the Browns in Week 3.

Bears coach Matt Nagy opened up the quarterback competition following last week’s loss at Cleveland. Andy Dalton, the Bears’ starter for the season’s first two games, has been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Lions. Dalton has been dealing with a knee injury he sustained during Chicago’s Week 2 win over the Bengals

The No. 11th overall pick in this year’s draft, Fields opened the season behind Dalton and ahead of veteran Nick Foles on the depth chart. He ran for a score while completing both of his pass attempts in Chicago’s Week 1 loss to the Rams. He went 6 of 13 for 60 yards and an interception against the Bengals.

On Sunday, Fields and the Bears’ offense will face a Lions defense that is currently 31st in the NFL in scoring, 23rd in passing, 16th in rushing, fifth in third-down efficiency and 28th in red zone efficiency. The Bears are hoping to get back to .500, while the Lions are in search of their first win during the Dan Campbell era.
