Two of the top 15 teams in the nation will square off in a pivotal SEC West matchup on Saturday, Oct. 2 when No. 13 Ole Miss travels to face No. 1 Alabama in the SEC on CBS Game of the Week. While Alabama has dominated the series recently with five straight wins, the arrival of Lane Kiffin has brought some intrigue to a program that did take down Nick Saban in back-to-back seasons in 2014-15.

Kiffin’s offenses have ranked among the best in the country since he arrived in Oxford, Mississippi, and last season, the Rebels gave the Crimson Tide some trouble on defense in a 63-48 shootout win for Alabama. Though the Tide offense has been tweaked since Kiffin’s departure as offensive coordinator, there’s no doubt that he’s left a lasting impact on the program as Saban looks to capture a second straight national championship.

This year’s game features two Heisman Trophy contenders at quarterback with Bryce Young and Matt Corral stepping under center for Alabama and Ole Miss, respectively. The odds favor another explosive back-and-forth when these two teams clash in Tuscaloosa in the best of the game of the week from the best conference in college football

Here’s a look at the rest of the SEC’s kickoff times and television assignments for Week 5 (all times Eastern).
