Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was carted off the field after getting sustaining a helmet-to-helmet hit by Cowboys linebacker Jabril Cox during the first half of Sunday’s game and has been ruled out. Jones was wobbly as he tried to jog back to the huddle after sustaining the hit. He has been replaced by Mike Glennon

Along with Jones, running back Saquon Barkley and receiver Kenny Golladay left Sunday’s game with injuries. Barkley was carted off with an ankle injury. Golladay is out with a knee injury.

While he was just 5 of 13 passing prior to the injury, Jones led the Giants to two scoring drives and another drive that ended with a miss field goal. His 38-yard completion to rookie Kadarius Toney set up Graham Gano’s 51-yard field goal. Several plays before sustaining his injury, Jones completed a 28-yard pass to Toney that eventually set up Devin Booker’s game-tying touchdown run. The Giants tied the score at 10-10 the play following Jones’ injury. They trailed 17-10 at halftime after the Cowboys scored on their final drive before intermission.

Jones entered Sunday’s game with 1,184 passing yards with four touchdowns and one interception during the Giants’ first four games. He threw for a season-high 401 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants’ Week 4 win over the Saints, New York’s first win of the 2021 season.
