HBO’s “Hard Knocks” just wrapped up the 16th edition of the television show which brings football fans to training camp with their favorite teams and players, but they are going to try something new this season. During halftime of “Thursday Night Football” between the Giants and Washington, the NFL announced that “Hard Knocks” will debut a multi-episode, in-season edition which will follow the Indianapolis Colts.

“Hard Knocks In Season: The Indianapolis Colts” is set to premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. ET, and will follow the Colts as they battle through the regular season and fight to earn a playoff bid.

“We could not be more thrilled to bring “Hard Knocks” and the remarkable behind-the-scenes access it provides for the entirety of an NFL season,” NFL Films senior executive Ross Ketover said in a statement. “Thanks to HBO, along with the incredible cooperation from the Colts, we are able to deliver a groundbreaking new edition of the series.”

The Colts are an interesting topic, as Frank Reich’s squad made the playoffs as a wild card in 2020, but lost veteran quarterback Philip Rivers to retirement. Indy then made the decision to trade for former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who is looking to reinvent himself with his old coach.

“Hard Knocks” made its first appearance in 2001, as it followed the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. In all, there have been 16 editions, with the most recent being the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. That series wrapped up just over a week ago.
