Some people truly have more money than they know what to do with. That appears to be the case for Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. In an email to the Dallas Morning News, Cuban announced that he has purchased the small Texas town of Mustang.

Yes, the entire town. The reason for the purchase? A friend needed to sell it and Cuban was happy to oblige.

“I don’t know what if anything I will do with it,” Cuban told the Dallas Morning News.

It’s unclear what Cuban ended up paying for the town, but it was listed on the market for $4 million in 2017 and that price tag was eventually dropped to $2 million, according to MySanAntonio.com.

While it’s a very small town (only 76 acres with a population of a whopping 23 people), it has had its fair share of chaos, reportedly.

In 2017, real estate agent Michael Turner revealed that there was a murder at a local strip club nine years prior, according to MySanAntonio.con. The reported victim was patron Fernando Ramirez, who was killed “after being dragged out of the club and beaten to death.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Cuban ends up doing anything with his new plot of land. It should be noted that there is no local government body in the town, so Cuban really can build whatever he’d like to.
