MLB DFS: Top Astros vs. Braves DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks for Game 1, 2021 World Series

The 2021 World Series arrives Tuesday night at 8:09 p.m. ET as the Atlanta Braves travel to take on the Houston Astros in Game 1. Houston has been red-hot at the plate, but the Astros will face a proven playoff starter in Charlie Morton. The Astros will counter with 27-year old Framber Valdez, who is also pitching extremely well. That brings some challenging decisions for MLB DFS lineups.

Who are the best MLB DFS picks for Game 1 of the World Series 2021? And which players in the MLB DFS player pool are set to maximize value on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings? Before making any daily Fantasy baseball picks for Astros vs. Braves in Game 1 of the 2021 World Series, be sure to see the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

In Game 6 of the NLCS, McClure listed Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario as one of his core lineup picks for both FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Rosario went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, bringing huge returns for daily Fantasy players. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 World Series beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 26, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Game 1 of the 2021 World Series

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Tuesday is Braves outfielder Adam Duvall. The 33-year old right-handed hitter was one of a handful of key deadline acquisition for the Braves, returning to Atlanta after signing with the Marlins before the season. He’s only a .232 lifetime hitter with a .200 career postseason average. But his power is an x-factor, and that’s why McClure loves him in this spot.

Duvall hit 38 home runs this season and drove in 113 runs, tying him for fourth in the league. And Duvall has actually hit better away from home, recording a .252 batting average and a .545 slugging percentage on the road this season. He comes in at a lower price point than some of the top sluggers in this game, making him a value play for MLB DFS lineups.

Another key in McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Astros designed hitter Yordan Alvarez. He finished the ALCS on fire against the Red Sox, going 7-for-9 with a home run and four RBIs in the final two games as Houston closed out Boston.

The lefty did most of his damage as a power hitter against righties like Morton this season, hitting 20 of his 33 home runs. And though he’s only seen Morton twice in his career, he does have a double in one of those at-bats. Alvarez comes in near the top of the MLB DFS price list for Tuesday, but with a .441 average in the 2021 MLB playoffs, he simply can’t be ignored in your MLB DFS picks.
