MLB DFS: Top Astros vs. Braves DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks for Game 1, 2021 World Series

Some of the best hitters in baseball will be on display when the 2021 World Series between the Braves and Astros gets underway at 8:09 p.m. ET on Tuesday in Houston. Freddie Freeman, Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve and Ozzie Albies are among the highest-priced options for MLB DFS lineups for this single-game slate. Daily Fantasy baseball players will also have to figure out how they, and other hitters, will match up against starting pitchers Charlie Morton and Framber Valdez.

Which players should you target for your MLB DFS picks on sites like FanDuel or DraftKings? And who are the best values in the MLB DFS player pool for Game 1 of the World Series 2021? Before making any daily Fantasy baseball picks for Astros vs. Braves, be sure to see the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

In Game 6 of the NLCS, McClure listed Braves outfielder Eddie Rosario as one of his core lineup picks for both FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Rosario went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, bringing huge returns for daily Fantasy players. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 World Series beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 26, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Game 1 of the 2021 World Series

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Tuesday is Braves third baseman Austin Riley. After an up-and-down first couple of years, Riley settled in as a star on the hot corner for Atlanta in 2021. He garnered some MVP buzz as he hit .303 with 33 home runs and 107 RBIs. All three of those numbers, as well as his .898 OPS, ranked in the top 25 in the league this season.

He’s already hit a pair of home runs and has driven in five runs during the 2021 MLB playoffs. And after going hitless in Games 3, 4 and 5 during the NLCS, he found his swing in Game 6, going 2 for 5 with an RBI. He hits righties better overall, but with a solid .274 average against lefties this season, he’s still a strong play against Valdez in Game 1 on Tuesday.

Another key in McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Alvarez. He finished the ALCS on fire against the Red Sox, going 7-for-9 with a home run and four RBIs in the final two games as Houston closed out Boston.

The lefty did most of his damage as a power hitter against righties like Morton this season, hitting 20 of his 33 home runs. And though he’s only seen Morton twice in his career, he does have a double in one of those at-bats. Alvarez comes in near the top of the MLB DFS price list for Tuesday, but with a .441 average in the MLB playoffs 2021, he simply can’t be ignored in your MLB DFS picks.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for Game 1 of the 2021 World Series

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Tuesday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
