MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for September 15, 2021

The San Francisco Giants have ripped off nine straight wins, and were the first team to clinch a playoff berth in the 2021 MLB Playoffs. Third baseman Evan Longoria has been a big part of the team’s success while providing excellent value in the MLB DFS player pool. In his last appearance on Monday night, he was the cheapest third baseman available at $3,600 on DraftKings, but raked in the most Fantasy points at his position.

Tonight, Longoria faces off against San Diego RHP Joe Musgrove, a pitcher that he has batted just .083 against in his career. However, in his last five games, Longoria has hit .429 with two doubles, two home runs and 12 RBI in 18 plate appearances. Should Longoria be part of your MLB DFS strategy on Wednesday, or should you look elsewhere when locking in your MLB DFS picks? Before making any MLB DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

On Tuesday, McClure had Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge as one of his top MLB DFS picks. The result: Judge cracked a first-inning two-run homer as part of a day that returned 25.2 points on FanDuel and 18 on DraftKings. Those that put him in their lineup were well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for September 15, 2021

Judge headlines McClure’s top MLB DFS picks again on Wednesday at $4,300 on FanDuel and $5,200 on DraftKings. Outside of a clunker on Sunday against the Mets, Judge has cleared 25 points on FanDuel and 18 on DraftKings in three of his last four games. On Saturday, Judge had his best night of that stretch, with a two-homer game with three RBI.

Against Baltimore probable starter John Means, Judge has been pedestrian, but he’s been more efficient against left-handed pitching than right-handers this season. Over the last seven games, he has been seeing the ball better and has been slugging .800. Perhaps it’s a no-brainer to take one of the game’s top hitters, but he’s been especially strong by his own standards.

Also key to McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy is stacking Judge with Yankees first baseman Luke Voit ($3,200 on FanDuel, $3,600 on DraftKings). Voit also hit a home run on Tuesday, despite getting a lower number of plate appearances in recent games.

Voit has a slightly more encouraging history against Means, and has four RBI with a home run against him in nine meetings. Against left-handed starting pitchers, he’s hit .277 this season with four doubles and three home runs. Voit has only had 32 plate appearances in September, but has six hits, which include a double and two home runs.
