MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy, advice for September 22, 2021

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers placed outfielder Cody Bellinger on the injured list with a rib fracture. The next man up in the outfield for L.A. has been Chris Taylor, who had his best game in a month in his last start on September 19, with a double and a single. Tonight, he will face Colorado’s German Marquez, who he holds a .375 batting average and .946 OPS against. Taylor is an inexpensive plug-in and could be one of the sneakiest MLB DFS picks on Wednesday.

Owners must consider that opportunity with his recent overall form when deciding on whether to place Taylor in their MLB DFS lineups or not. In his last three games, he is only batting .222 with two hits in nine at bats. Are there better picks out of Wednesday’s MLB DFS player pool that offer more upside? Before locking in any MLB DFS picks, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Monday, McClure gave out Braves third baseman Austin Riley on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Riley went 3-for-5 with three doubles and three RBI, which returned 23 points on DraftKings and 31.7 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season rolling on, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Wednesday. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for September 22, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Wednesday is Dodgers’ second baseman Trea Turner, who is listed at $4,300 on FanDuel and $5,700 on DraftKings. For 2021, Turner has the most stolen bases in the National League (30), but has half as many at bats as most of the Dodgers’ other starters.

Turner has stolen four bases in his last six games, and over the last week, he’s hit .318 with seven hits and an RBI. He has only faced Marquez once before, but he had two hits, one of which was an RBI double. Turner has hit well against right-handed pitching all season and should continue to return points.

Another key in McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Yankees first baseman Luke Voit ($3,200 on both FanDuel and DraftKings). He’s yet to make an appearance in the Yankees’ current series against the Rangers, but on Saturday against Cleveland, he walked and hit a two-run home run.

On Wednesday, New York closes things out with Texas and pitcher Taylor Hearn. Voit has never faced Hearn, but the Rangers lefty gave up seven earned runs, and he’s given up four homers in three September starts. Voit has returned double-digit Fantasy points twice in his last four games, and is poised for another big game tonight.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for September 22, 2021

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is set to explode for huge numbers on Wednesday. The stars are aligning for him to return tournament-winning value and he comes at a price that won’t break the bank. You can only see who it is here.
