MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy for June 11, 2021

The 2021 MLB season rolls on Friday with 14 games on the schedule. Among the MLB DFS picks to consider on Friday is Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani, who is 2-1 with a 2.76 ERA and has also hit 17 homers with 44 RBIs this season. Mets ace Jacob deGrom also takes the mound on Friday looking to improve on his 5-2 record and immaculate 0.62 ERA.

Pitching is always a key to an effective MLB daily Fantasy strategy, and Ohtani and deGrom are two of the more expensive options available on FanDuel and DraftKings. Should you splurge on those pricier choices, or is it better to save a little money with more affordable MLB DFS picks so you can load up on positional players? Before locking in any MLB DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Thursday, McClure recommended Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton as one of his top options on DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Stanton belted a three-run homer to return 18 points on DraftKings and over 25 on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for June 11, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Friday is Astros shortstop Carlos Correa at $5,200 on DraftKings and $3,800 on FanDuel. Correa is hitting .286 with 11 home runs and 34 RBIs this season. He went 1-for-3 with two walks on Thursday against the Red Sox.

Correa is projected for another strong season, trending to hit 29 homers, 37 doubles, drive in 89 runs and score 110 times. Those would all represent single-season career highs for the seven-year veteran. The Astros begin a weekend series at Minnesota on Friday night, with Correa set to pounce on struggling Twins right-hander Matt Shoemaker (2-7, 7.28 ERA) in the process.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes rostering Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez at $5,800 on FanDuel and $3,900 on DraftKings. Ramirez is hitting .265 with 14 homers and 35 RBIs in 2021. Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored on Tuesday against the Cardinals.

Ramirez is also projected for monster numbers this season, trending to wallop 38 homers, 36 doubles, drive in 96 runs and score 113 times. That would be in line with his tremendous 2018 season that saw Ramirez homer 39 times, double 38 more, drive in 105 runs and score 110 runs. Ramirez faces Seattle right-hander Justin Dunn on Friday, which bodes well for Ramirez, who has delivered 12 of his homers and 28 of his RBIs against righties this season.
