NFL DFS for Week 2, 2020: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy football picks, lineups, stacks

Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire had a head-turning debut against the Texans, but can he back up his 138-yard, one-touchdown effort this week against the Chargers? Similarly, Titans running back Derrick Henry shined with 116 rushing yards against the Broncos, but can he do the same against the Jaguars on Sunday? Are premier running backs like Edwards-Helaire and Henry optimal NFL DFS picks in Week 2, or are you better off choosing a player like the ColtsJonathan Taylor, who will assume lead back duties with Marlon Mack (Achilles) out for the year?

Who else in the NFL DFS player pool should you target as you determine your Week 2 NFL DFS picks on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel? Be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, stacks and projections from SportsLine’s Mike McClure, a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million, before making any NFL DFS picks this week.

McClure crushed his NFL DFS picks in 2019, finishing as high as the top 1 percent of tournaments on DraftKings and returning as much as 40x return in some higher-stakes tournaments. He then continued his roll in the postseason, cashing on every single lineup he posted for the divisional round. Anyone who followed him saw some huge returns.

In his Week 1 Sunday NFL DFS player pool, McClure was all over Cam Newton as one of his top quarterbacks. The result: Newton, who was just $6,100 on DraftKings, found the end zone twice on the ground and returned over 4x value. Anybody who put him in their NFL DFS lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, he has turned his attention to the Week 2 NFL DFS player pool and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top Week 2 NFL DFS picks

One of McClure’s top NFL DFS picks for Sunday is Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams at $8,100 on DraftKings and $8,600 on FanDuel. Adams was a machine against the Vikings last week, hauling in an NFL-best 14 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns. The yardage total was behind only Julio Jones‘ 157 receiving yards among Week 1 leaders.

Adams is undoubtedly Aaron Rodgers‘ No. 1 target, a spot from which he has posted four consecutive seasons as a top-10 wide receiver in fantasy points per game. The Packers get the porous Lions in Week 2, a team Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky carved up for three fourth-quarter touchdowns last week.

Part of McClure’s optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup at $5,600 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel. The third-year pro out of Colorado State didn’t get the volume he was hoping for in Week 1 against the Rams, as he had just three catches on five targets. But he made that trio of receptions count, turning all of them into first downs and averaging 16.7 yards per catch.

McClure is projecting bigger numbers in his juicy matchup against the Falcons in Week 2. Atlanta ranked in the bottom half of the NFL in most significant passing defense categories last year, including 25th in yards per reception (6.9). There wasn’t any evidence of improvement in Week 1, as the Seahawks piled up 322 yards and four touchdowns through the air against Atlanta.

Falcons cornerback Kendall Sheffield (foot) is also looking iffy for this matchup, making Gallup a prime choice for your NFL DFS lineups on Sunday.

How to set Week 2 NFL DFS lineups

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Sunday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see it here.
